The herd is at the heart of itSomatic Equine Experience.
S.E.E. · Guided experience with horses and the body
Developed at Hūnkapi, S.E.E. brings guided experiences with horses together with body-based awareness. Somatic means relating to the body: your breath, posture, sensations, and the physical responses that accompany emotion.
A facilitator guides your attention to the horse, your surroundings, and your own physical experience. You may notice a held breath, an impulse to step back, or a change in tension as you pause. These observations give you something concrete to explore.
Horses respond to movement, posture, proximity, and behavior as they happen. The horse’s response is something to observe, not a judgment of you.
The aim is not to produce a particular emotion or prove that you are calm. It is to become more familiar with your own responses and explore where you have a choice.
